ThePipe Welderposition supports mechanical contracting and service operations by performing SMAW (stick) welding. They are responsible for assisting the team in other areas of project installation if welding work is limited.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following:

  • Perform stick welding on various commercial HVAC installation jobs.
  • Provides welding instruction to the Welding Helpers if needed
  • Interprets piping diagrams related to the job
  • Communicates with lead man on supplies needed to complete project
  • Works in a team to rig and install necessary systems components
  • Maintains updated certification in welding
  • Assists other team members with job duties as necessary
  • Maintain service uniform wear such as hats, shirts, pants, and shoes to ensure compliance with company dress code
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, legal regulations, and recommended best practices
  • Collaborate with all Associates to uphold the company's mission and values
  • Travel up to 50% of the time as required
  • Must be able to work overtime/weekends as required

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school or general education degree (GED) with certification in welding experience from an accredited trade school or institution
  • 1+ years of welding experience or training
  • Proficiency with computer devices (including smart phones) and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Apple iOS software
  • Must be able to pass internal welding test
  • Ability to pass drug screening
  • Ability to prove US employment eligibility
  • Must possess a valid drivers license

Este puesto tiene a cargo la unin y reparacin de tuberas, componentes tubulares y montajes para contrataciones mecnicas y operaciones de servicio tcnico. El soldador de tuberas debe contar con habilidades de montaje, instalacin y reparacin de componentes y sistemas de tuberas de conformidad con las especificaciones. Si no hay tareas de soldadura disponibles, se deber ofrecer asistencia a otras reas de nuestro equipo de contratistas mecnicos.

OBLIGACIONES Y RESPONSABILIDADES PRINCIPALES:

  • Realizar soldadura por arco con electrodos revestidos en trabajos asignados a contratistas mecnicos.
  • En caso de ser necesario, ofrecer instrucciones de soldadura a ayudantes y asistentes.
  • Interpretar y comprender planos relacionados con los proyectos asignados.
  • Asistir a capacitaciones y realizar prcticas para actualizar la certificacin en soldadura.
  • Ofrecer asistencia y ser un recurso para los clientes.
  • Garantizar el cumplimiento de las leyes locales, estatales y federales, as como de las normas jurdicas y las buenas prcticas recomendadas.
  • Colaborar con todos los asociados para ratificar la misin y los valores de la empresa.
  • Es requisito viajar hasta el 75 % del tiempo.

HORARIO DE TRABAJO:de lunes a viernes (10 horas), horas extra/fines de semana segn sea necesario.

REQUISITOS FSICOS Y EXPOSICIN AMBIENTAL:
