Please review the following job description:

Process files delivered for purchase by Correspondent Lending from the point files received through New Loan Set Up on the servicing system. Responsible for data entry from loan files documentation into UNIFI including all closing fees, pulling, analyzing, and clearing a Sentinel Report. Perform accurate preliminary review of specific information and documents included in each loan file; pending and clearing files for any incorrect or missing documentation. Perform a final review of all UNIFI information to confirm that the correct information has been entered prior to funding; releasing the wire for purchase. Complete New Loan Set Up process to ensure that loans correctly board the servicing system from the Origination System, including posting escrow funds and setting up escrow details.

Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Review closed loan packages for key documents.

  2. Review key data points and documents within the loan package to determine if the loan is acceptable for purchase.

  3. Complete compliance testing of key data elements.

  4. Enter, validate, and correct information in Lending Space to ensure data integrity.

  5. Communicate loan defects in clear and concise stipulations.

  6. Maintain Production Standards set by Manager and Review Type

  7. Maintain acceptable quality and service level standards

  8. Ensure loan is escalated appropriately to escalation points if applicable.

  9. Ensure work product i.e. checklists and LVDC are uploaded according to policy

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. 2+ years of experience in a similar or transferable role within Mortgage.

  2. Ability to work independently.

  3. Strong attention to detail.

  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  5. Familiarity with mortgage loan documents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and related training

  2. 2+ years of experience in lending or finance, preferably in mortgage originations

  3. Demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following: Lending Space, Compliance Ease, and MERS
