C&W Services Facilities Maintenance Technician in Windsor, Colorado

Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Summary Responsible to assist with the operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties/facilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: This position requires HVAC repair & mechanical troubleshooting skills Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include packaging and handling machinery, large air compressors, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop equipment, grounds equipment, and HVAC systems among others Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems Ability to review, create, and maintain assigned work orders with associated paperwork within digital computerized maintenance management system Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, piping, floors and equipment Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions, perform both reactive & preventative maintenance Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems such as fire alarm systems, fire pumps and related fire protection system equipment Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and grounds maintenance Identify and work with potential outside contractors/vendors from sourcing to quotation to job completion Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned Ability to use technology such as: smart phones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, building automation systems, etc. Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives as related to building operations and practice safe work habits Complete all required safety training as scheduled monthly/annually Comply with company dress code while working and maintain a neat and clean appearance while on the property at times other than working hours

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in at least one of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, plumbing, or engine repair 2+ years of related experience in a property maintenance setting Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience with a CMMS Current possession of EPA licensing or ability to become registered High school diploma or GED equivalent

KEY COMPETENCIES: Technical proficiency with HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing Technical proficiency and comfort with troubleshooting various mechanical systems Flexibility to provide critical services as needed Ability to multi-task and prioritize work requests received Sense of urgency & personal initiative to succeed

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This maintenance job operates in a professional office environment as well as industrial/warehouse type environments both indoors and outside.
