NOW HIRING: The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership, management and accountability for a team of shipping coordinators, drivers and material handlers in alignment with the company’s objectives and core values. This is an onsite position based in Winsted, Minnesota.
Provides day-to-day work direction to the Transportation & Infrastructure logistics team, focused on maintaining steady workflow, resource allocation, and productivity
Leads logistics team, including providing direction to Team Leads, with Core Values to assure completion of weekly and monthly schedules that meet or exceed Company expectations.
Assure that all safety requirements (including training and PPE) are being met; lead the reduction of safety related incidents in department
Set priorities for team to ensure task completion; coordinate work activities with other leaders
Adjusts or recommend enhancements in day-to-day department processes
Provide direction and ensure all team members are trained and cross train in accordance to work instructions/standard operating procedures and customer requirements
Provides leadership to employees in department including: hiring, performance management, coaching, counseling and corrective actions
Facilitates communication, coordination and conflict resolution within and among work groups in accordance with company policies
Role qualifications as a Logistics Supervisor include:
Preferred candidates will have an Associate’s degree or equivalent knowledge of technical and operational practices within logistics.
Other combinations of formal training and experience will be considered
Prior experience providing direction and building a high performing team
Understanding of basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution
Understanding and working knowledge of a manufacturing environment
Previous experience using an ERP system
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, and Word
