JOB REQUIREMENTS: Fun & Compassionate Caregiver Are you a fun-loving and understanding caregiver with a good sense of humor? Would you enjoy assisting a male member to remain independent in his Wisconsin Rapids apartment? If so, this might be the right fit for you so continue to read on. Wage: \$14.50/hour starting Work Environment: 1:1 in members own apartment Hours: Every other weekend Saturday and Sunday 8 am 11 am and 5 pm 7:30 pm with some flexibility on times Potential for some pick-up shifts during the week to assist with needed coverage Ideal Candidate: Someone who likes to have fun and joke around. Someone who is Understanding, Patient, Friendly, Sociable and Dependable Someone willing to get to know this member and learn his likes, dislikes, routine, etc. Able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to assist the member. Experience working with those with memory impairments or willingness to learn Tasks Include: Direction and reminders for activities of daily living Light Housekeeping / Laundry Daily Bathroom Cleaning Meal preparation and reminders Medication reminders Companionship and Socialization Encouragement to stay involved in activities the member enjoys ** Community Horizons offers support for individuals enrolled in self-directed programs through Managed Care Organizations or IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct) throughout Wisconsin. Self-direction gives program participants the choice over who provides services and how they receive them.
