What would you do?

Kerry are experts in nutritional & functional technologies with a broad portfolio of taste, emulsifiers, texture and functional ingredients for the food, beverage, meat, meat alternative pharma, animal nutrition and non-food sectors, along with a global manufacturing footprint.

To capitalize on the market potential, we are seeking to appoint a high performing Account Manager for the North America market who has a core expertise in food manufacturing sales to nurture and grow base business, while passionately pursuing new growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Developing a holistic sales strategy to grow the business, and to consistently deliver full year revenue and margin targets.

  • An effective strategy will require the following:

  • Acting as the face of Kerry in front of the customer, seeking to understand the needs, priorities and ambitions of the customer and helping the customer accomplish their goals with Kerry's uniquely relevant know-how and technology portfolio.

  • Channeling the voice of customer within Kerry to help inform our overarching go-to-market strategy, to ensure our production capacity is optimized for sustainable, profitable volume, and to ensure we are effectively deploying our valuable resources.

  • Defending a sizable base of core business.

  • Uncovering, cultivating and managing a healthy pipeline of growth opportunities through market segment research and critical business insights, progressing opportunities through the pipeline and converting to business wins.

  • Prospecting new accounts that fit the strategic objectives of the business.

  • Lead negotiations with the customer.

  • Develop and maintain intimate relationships at both the customer and within Kerry. Facilitating relevant customer-to-Kerry cross-functional connections is a critical expectation.

  • Proactively schedule, lead and facilitate in-person customer engagements.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor's degree required. Business, sciences or engineering fields of study preferred (MBA an asset).

  • 5+ years of commercial experience in food ingredient manufacturing required, with specific experience in snack and/ Seasonings / Flavor Sales in to the Snack market

  • Location: East side states of the US

  • Self-starter, intrinsically motivated with limited supervision. Being effective at charting your own course.

  • Mastery of remote/hybrid work, including ability to meaningfully collaborate using digital tools (MS Teams, Zoom).

  • Experience and comfort with CRM tools (Salesforce.com, Seismic) and Microsoft Office Suite required.

  • Sound sense of judgment, financial and business acumen.

  • Willingness to deftly navigate difficult situations/conversations.

  • Strong negotiation skills. Comfortable in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment.

  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.

  • Valid driver's license.

Compensation Data

The typical hiring range for this role is $89,175 to $134,984 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
