Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt (hourly)
Schedule: 1st Shift - Monday thru Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.
Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. All shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday - Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.)
Job Summary
Employees in this position will prepare a variety of parts in order to apply paint and primers. Paint Assistants will also lay parts out on screens, transport loaded screens in and out of paint booths/ovens, and sand parts. Paint Assistants may be required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program*. Paint Assistants perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications.
* FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial pre-employment drug test including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly Drug & BAT testing.
Responsibilities
Work closely with experienced Painters and Department Leads to complete work and prioritize tasks.
Follow shop traveler, technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced Operators and Department Leads.
General review of paperwork to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
Prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning.
Prepare parts as called out in Purchase Orders and Tech Cards.
Perform inspection, measuring, and testing or part surfaces as required.
Maintain paint guns and paint booths ensuring cleanliness at the close of shifts.
Perform pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
Follow Quality Assurance requirements.
Follow safety precautions as trained.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Pre-employment and annual physical exam required; ability to wear a respirator.
Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
Ability to Read/Write Communicate in English with other employees, Customers, and auditors.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility.
Education/Previous Experience Requirements
1-2 years in a manufacturing environment a plus.

Temperatures in the work environment can fluctuate with outside weather conditions. Due to the manufacturing environment, Personal Protection Equipment is required including safety glasses, goggles, aprons, rubber boots, gloves, and respirator (provided by Company).
