searching for an Engineering Supervisor to join their Bus, Crane & RV
Business Unit. This individual will be responsible for providing
management and direction for product designs and programs.
This includes:
Providing management and direction for all new product programs and new
concept development, utilizing the Product Planning and Development
Process. Providing timely program completion.
Providing leadership in creating innovative product designs and
developing them through Proof of Concept.
Providing technical input and participates with the Director of
Engineering and marketing personnel to identify opportunities and define
product programs.
Actively participating in developing and tracking the annual department
budget and has the responsibility to control labor, material, and
testing costs associated with new product programs and concept
development.
Providing continuous improvement through employee development, process
improvement and elimination of waste, and effectively manages technical
professionals, providing leadership, coaching, and opportunities for
employees to develop. Helps to assure safety in the office and
laboratory.
The successful candidate will possess:
Bachelor\'s Degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, or Aeronautical
Engineering.
5+ years\' experience in automotive, preferably truck, chassis system
design and /or development.
5+ years\' experience in the supervision of engineers and engineering
support personnel
Demonstrated experience in the structural design of vehicle chassis
systems and components, including fatigue analysis and life prediction
techniques.
Formal skills training in team dynamics, problem solving techniques, and
leadership.
