Family Law Attorney

Robert Half has partnered with a boutique family law firm in Woods Cross, Utah on the search for a 3+ years’ family law attorney to join their growing, busy practice on a direct-hire basis. This Firm does offer a partnership track for those who have the aptitude to be a successful and well-respected family law attorney. Candidates interested in this position should have a JD from an accredited law school, an active license to practice law in Utah, 3+ years’ experience in family law and should be familiar with legal procedures and the intricacies of the courtroom. Candidates should also have exceptional research, analytical and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody, modification, etc. The average caseload for this attorney would be 50-70 cases.

• Represent clients in family court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and mediations

• Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients

• Draft and negotiate legal documents, such as separation agreements, child custody agreements, and prenuptial agreements

• Conduct extensive legal research and analysis and stay up-to-date on changes in Utah family law

• Advise clients on their legal rights and options in a clear and concise manner

• Draft legal documents including motions, pleadings, and briefs

• Manage caseload effective and meet deadlines consistently

Our client offers a competitive compensation package and a lower-than-average billable hour requirement. This position would be in-office to start, but it would eventually allow for a hybrid work schedule. Requirements • Must be a qualified attorney with a strong understanding of civil litigation and family law.

• Proficient in the use of legal software including LexisNexis and Case Management Software.

• Proven experience in claim administration and complaint handling.

• Skilled in drafting motions and preparing legal briefs and pleadings.

• Expertise in analyzing financial statements is essential.

• Demonstrable experience in trial preparation and management.

• Must be proficient in the use of 3M Management System.

• Familiarity with guardianship and adoption cases is advantageous.

• Strong briefing and documentation skills are required.

• Experience in litigation attorney roles is highly desirable.
