Capability Life Cycle Management (CLCM)

The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS). The CLCM performs asset, sustainment and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centre’s (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services. The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability.

The Opportunity:

The Supply Support Specialist will be responsible for coordinating detailed analyses to integrate support considerations into the design process, identifying opportunities to reduce through life support cots, and managing risks and issues associated with ILS and supportability aspects of Engineering Changes (EC).

The Supply Support Specialist will require a deep understanding of Defence Logistics management systems, including but not limited to – MILIS, LNIDs, NAVALLOW, APLCRATES, and AMPS

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and monitor risks associated with procurement and sparing.

  • Ensure procurement and sparing activities factor into LOT targets.

  • Monitor overarching procurement activities for Engineering Changes and raise issues of concern.

  • Ensure LLTI identification and procurement is factored into scheduling.

  • Management oversight of the logistical movement of inventory and stock holdings.

  • Coordination, analysis and execution of supply and demand requirements.

  • Maintain master data management and accuracy including updating relevant systems.

  • Support supply chain lifecycle cost analysis including savings and cost avoidance tracking.

  • Make changes to the Navy Allowance Management System (NAVALLOW).

  • Ensuring and providing guidance to prepare for Assembly Parts Lists (APLs) and Outboard Allowance List (OAL) in APLCRATES.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

Essential:

  • Cert IV in Materiel Logistics or equivalent, relevant experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an integrated logistic support or logistic engineering discipline

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Defence or related technical industry

  • Knowledge and experience in Defence logistics management systems, including but not limited to - MILIS, LNIDs, NAVALLOW, APLCRATES and AMPS.

  • Significant experience as a military supply/storeman, preferably in the land/marine environment.

  • Must be eligible for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems.

Desirable:

  • Experience in SCPM and AMPs.

  • Understanding of Defence procurement.

  • Experience in supporting marine/mechanical/electrical systems in RAN platforms.

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
