Capability Life Cycle Management (CLCM)

The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS). The CLCM performs asset, sustainment and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centre’s (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services. The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a System Specialist – High Power Electrical who will be responsible for Asset Sustainment Optimisation across the ACS CLCM by applying Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) knowledge and experience. This role will require a deep understanding of Asset Sustainment Optimisation, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with a range of internal and external asset sustainment stakeholders. Experiences and skilled ILS and LSA practitioners should apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct enterprise Reliability and Front-End Logistic Support Analysis including Material Requirements Determination (MRD) analysis on high power electrical equipment and systems to support Maintenance Effectiveness Reviews in accordance with the Approved ACS CLCM Asset Management Plan (AMP) and Asset Management Master Schedule.

  • Participate in the conduct of the maintenance effectiveness analysis program, including ACS stakeholder reviews.

  • Report on the health of the Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) environment, by assessing conformance against the metrics developed through LSA supportability, test and evaluation activities.

  • Ensure that actions resulting from non-conformance against these metrics are addressed through the appropriate channels, including the Capability Innovation and Efficiencies process, Engineering Investigations or Engineering Change through the Request or Problem Resolution (RPR) process.

  • Responsible for Asset Sustainment Optimisation initiatives and related Stewardship across the ACS Enterprise.

  • Accountable to the Asset Optimisation Manager for the conduct of Technical Risk Management.

  • Responsible to the Asset Optimisation Manager to drive Continuous Improvement and Performance Analysis across the ACS Enterprise.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

Essential:

  • Requires a minimum of 6-10 years relevant experience in Electrical systems within the Defence maritime domain.

  • Requires a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in Integrated Logistics Support within the Defence maritime domain.

  • Requires a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in Logistic Support Analysis within the Defence maritime domain.

  • Navy Technical Risk Management experience.

  • Verbal and Written Communication in a team environment.

  • Must be eligible for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems.

Desirable:

  • Certificate IV in the maintenance and operation domain.

  • Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) Code TLISS00213 - Conduct Logistics Support Analysis in Defence Materiel Logistics Skill Set (incorporates RAM, FMECA and LORA)

  • NRT Code TLIX0028X - Develop technical publications to support integrated logistics

  • NRT Code TLIX0031X - Provide maintenance engineering support in a defence integrated logistics environment

  • NRT Code TLIX0032X - Undertake configuration management to support integrated logistics

  • NRT Code TLIX0034X - Undertake supply support in integrated logistics.

  • Change management experience.

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
