Job Summary:

Support the NASIC Cybersecurity team, facilitating the assessment and authorization (A&A) and continuous monitoring of approximately 65 operational national security systems within NASIC in accordance with Intelligence Community Directive 503, National Institute of Standards and Technologies 800-Series Publications, Committee on National Security Systems Instructions, and the Risk Management Framework.

Support the NASIC Cybersecurity Branch, NASIC Information System Security Managers (ISSMs), and Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) in the oversight and execution of organizationwide Cybersecurity programs through the creation, maintenance, and delivery of policy, process documentation, and training.

Provide analytical support and risk assessment for output from cybersecurity capabilities such as endpoint security, audit logs, and vulnerability scanning.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work all software requirements based on task manager’s prioritization.

  • Support software task manager with general software installation issues and licensing issues.

  • Work with software vendors and developers to resolve configuration/licensing issues, including coordination of vulnerability patching with responsible parties.

  • Provide documentation including installation instructions, vulnerability scans (pre/post), certificate to operate (CTO) reports, CTO certificates.

  • Transfer media/documentation as requested by the task manager.

  • Support CFP with software installation issues/licensing issues on an as-needed basis as prioritized by the task manager.

  • Support the ongoing audit of software to ensure accuracy of inventory and the most current CTO status is reflected.

  • Provide support with source code scan review, reporting findings for mitigation to customers and software task manager as necessary.

  • Support software task manager in container vulnerability scan review, providing feedback to customers and software task manager as necessary.

  • Provide weekly functional area reports summarizing work accomplished, work planned for the next week and important issues occurring during the month.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess and maintain a DoD Approved Cybersecurity Baseline Certification (e.g. DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education – Operate and Maintain – Systems Administration) as required by Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 17-1303, Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 8140.01, and DoD 8570.01-M

  • Training or experience in the software testing lifecycle, the use of software vulnerability scanners, the use of static source code analysis tools, the vulnerability assessment of containerized applications, and assessment and remediation of Web application vulnerabilities
