The Field Service Technician (FST) is responsible for providing on-site repair, preventative maintenance, and service support to customer owned ENT Navigation Surgical Systems. Travel up to 85% is required throughout the designated geographic area. In addition, the FST will provide team support and coverage to other areas, as well as back-up duties as required.

The FST applies proven troubleshooting processes and methods to diagnose and resolve technical issues on Integra owned medical equipment. The FST must effectively and efficiently manage their time pertaining to the following core work activities including service-call scheduling, parts inventory, and service reporting with minimal supervision. Additional responsibilities include customer relationship management, written documentation and Oracle entry of service activities, effective interaction and communication with internal personnel, manufacturing, and sales. The FST will represent Integra in a positive, professional manner at all times. This position offers professional growth and leadership opportunities

  • Provide repair, preventative maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting service at customer site.

  • Create and provide repair estimates based on equipment evaluation and service needs.

  • Become and remain proficient in all user and service manuals, and work instructions.

  • Work closely with sales, sales operations, and R&D to communicate customer service needs, technical information, and other information as requested.

  • Maintain and keep accurate inventory of all parts assigned, and request parts as needed for service.

  • Apply Good Documentation Practices when completing service reports and customer documentation.

  • Always present a professional image.

  • Liaise with other departments/personnel as required.

  • Collaborate with team members to document and share best practices.

  • Comply with customer and company procedures, policies, and guidelines.

  • Assist with the development & delivery of technical training as required.

Qualifications:

  • 2-year degree in electrical engineering, electronics technology, biomed certification or a closely related field.

  • At least 2-5 years’ experience in a Field/Service/Repair capacity.

  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience will include customer contact, hands-on electronic equipment installation, repair, services, and technician training.

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude

  • Good communication skills – verbal & written

  • Solid computer skills; Oracle skills a plus

  • Experience in the medical field a plus
