Job Title: Tarp Fabrication Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Tarp Fabrication Technician to join our team at a leading tarp manufacturing company specializing in agricultural products. The primary focus will be on the maintenance and repair of equipment used in the production of tarps for grain and seed trailers, carts, and bins.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on assigned equipment, including sewing machines, CNC tables, fabric welding machines, and strip cutters.

  • Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair.

  • Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.

  • Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician, such as repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors in the shop.

  • Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with preventive maintenance.

  • Ability to read and understand work orders and blueprints.

  • Knowledge of pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical systems.

  • Experience in industrial maintenance and repair.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to perform general maintenance tasks.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience with sewing machines, CNC tables, fabric welding machines, and strip cutters.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 6am to 4:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break. The role involves working with various equipment, including sewing machines, CNC tables, and fabric welding machines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Yankton, South Dakota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
