Nvidia Senior Post-Silicon Electro-Optical PHY Validation Engineer in Yokneam, Israel

We are now looking for a hardworking Post Silicon Validation Engineer to join the team as part of Networking business unit. Working in the Silicon Solutions Engineering team, you will be responsible for post silicon validation & debug of Electro-optical & Electrical current and future products at NVIDIA. Focusing on testing PHY designs at system and chip level working as part of a team with logic design, circuit design, architects, FW & board engineers to ensure successful product development. The qualified candidate should be comfortable in a lab environment and should demonstrate a passion towards creation, execution and improvement of post silicon validation plans.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Take active part in silicon bring-up & characterization of new silicon with the objective of driving product to mass production with first in class performance.

  • Testing NVIDIA Electro-Optical and Electrical chips and systems. Defining testing requirements for new products based on electrical and optical specifications.

  • Leading data-driven discussions about the product functionality and areas for improvement.

  • Driving root-causes analysis efforts of silicon and optics issues through lab experimentation and collaboration with teams within NVIDIA.

What we need to see:

  • B.Sc degree in Electronic Engineering with emphasis on electro-optics (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a high-speed electro-optical test engineering role.

  • Strong problem solving, debugging, analysis with examples to prove it.

  • Good knowledge of signal integrity and high speed signal measurement of electro-optical high speed interfaces. Proficient in the usage of electro-optical & electrical measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, BERTs & spectrum analyzers.

  • Experience with establishing complex lab setups using various high-speed lab optical equipment (Fast O/E & E/O converters, Optical spectrum analyzer etc.) as well as electrical (oscilloscopes, VNA, spectrum analyzers, traffic generators etc.)successfully guide and influence.

  • Basic understanding of PCB layout and high speed board design issues.

  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, with an ability to successfully guide and influence.

Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd:

  • Deep understanding of technology and passion for what you do.

  • Experience with industry specifications such as IEEE/OIF etc.

  • Hands-on experience in lab measurements with an emphasis of high-speed electro-optical designs

  • Experience with optical assembly designs/components (high-speed optical cables/lasers/diodes).

  • Basic scripting skills (Python, Matlab).
