Operations Manager

PlanITROI seeks a metric-driven Operations Manager with expertise in building, leading, and growing a diverse team of "A" players to scale our Center of Excellence facility in Youngsville, North Carolina.

The hardware Operations environment includes managing Receiving, Production, Audit, Repair, Parts, Cleaning, Quality Control, and General Warehouse workers. PlanITROI seeks an experienced, hands-on leader/coach skilled at running day-to-day operational functions in the re-manufacturing of hardware products; Laptops, AIO, Chromebooks, Notebooks, PC, servers, smart-phones, tablets, and consumer electronics.

The Operations Manager must be a leader/coach with a servant leader’s mindset, experienced in managing full-scale Operations and Production Teams while delivering comprehensive training and guidance. The successful candidate will play a critical role in owning the development, implementation, and maintenance of re-manufacturing processes, providing a road-map to meet and exceed SLA’s and production requirements, and ensuring the highest level of product quality, cost effectiveness, and efficiency.

This role is onsite in Youngsville, North Carolina - Tuesday-Saturday

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily guidance and coaching on the Operations/Production floor for all teammates interacting with Receiving, Production, Repair, CKB, Parts, Finished Goods, eCommerce, Logistics, Customer Service, IT Services.

  • Identify and track Operations statistics and metrics, driving KPI's that ensure company success.

  • Manage and track inventory to achieve all internal and client processing SLA’s.

  • Ensure timely reporting to internal departments on agreed-upon statistics, units received, production repair, untested aged, aged, waiting parts, etc.

  • Ensure timely reporting requested by management or corporate clients.

  • Development and ongoing management of the Non-SN & SN Inventory and warehouse functions.

  • Manage Inventory Control and Production areas with their daily direction, goals, needs, questions, and any issues, if they arise.

  • Create and maintain physical areas for inventory storage, placement, and staging; organize, make space for incoming products, and combine products, ensuring all product is in the correct location.

  • Communicate with the Sales and eCommerce Teams to build products to the correct specifications for client needs requested.

  • Forecast required parts to refurbish inbound products based on data history, current and future orders.

  • Manage and coach the Quality Control Team to ensure the quality of finished goods meets and exceeds the quality standards.

  • Manage and Coach Repair Team in failed units from Production and QC.

  • Perform, lead, and manage Kaizen Events and maintain 5S.

    Requirements & Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience managing large operations (50+ personnel) with different functions, including mid-level managers.

  • 1-3 years of experience building, leading, and coaching an Operations & Production Team of at least 50 employees.

  • 1-3 years of experience formulating and executing innovative strategic plans and initiatives.

  • Hands-on experience in fine-tuning daily operations, producing an upswing in productivity and reduction in costs.

  • Experience in implementing streamlined processes and procedures, fostering heightened efficiency.

  • Logistics experience including “Pick & Pack” & Shipping. (eCommerce is a plus)

  • The ability to delegate within control limits and measure results.

  • Proactive, problem solver and strategic thinker with outstanding written & verbal communication skills.

  • Must have the ability to be a “hands-on” leader in a fast-paced goal-driven environment.

  • Project Management skills desired.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel & Outlook.

Preferred Experience:

  • Operations and Production management experience within the manufacturing or re-manufacturing of computer hardware, consumer electronics, and IT services, with a preference for ITAD or technology companies (OEM) in computers.

  • Six Sigma/ Lean Manufacturing certification or training.

  • Production Capacity Planning.

  • Knowledge and expertise in successfully sustaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 2001, R2V3, NIST, and NAID standards, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of quality management, environmental sustainability, occupational health and safety, secure electronic waste recycling, and information data destruction.

  • Experience in the Microsoft Authorized Refurbished Program.

  • Experience with server & network infrastructure troubleshooting.
