Description
We are seeking a Software Developer to join our team and assist with various API projects within Higher Education on a part time basis. This role is critical in developing and maintaining all public-facing websites, we encourage you to apply today!
Responsibilities:
• Write and implement scripts using PHP, X/HTML, JavaScript, XML, MySQL databases, and related code when assigned.
• Leverage, implement, and support APIs for campus resources such as the academic catalog, campus map, etc.
• Contribute to web strategy discussions, offer solutions, and perform other tasks related to our dynamic and collaborative approach to web/app development.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all programs and procedures.
• Research and maintain expertise in developing technologies, best practices, and standards for usability, accessibility, and coding standards for various computing and handheld devices.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred, Associate's Degree is required
• 3 or more years of experience in full stack development
• Must have proficiency in Ajax, API Development, PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, and MySQL
• Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of the latest trends and advancements in technology
• Experience with software design and testing
• Must be able to work independently and also as part of a team
• Requires strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Must have a strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Experience with version control systems such as Git is preferred
• Must have a strong understanding of user interface and user experience design.
