Job Description Summary

You know how to develop miniaturized electronics and sensors to move the boundaries of ultrasound technology? Join our team as Electronics/Mechatronics Engineer for our number one Ultrasound technologies. Specifically, we are looking for impact in the electronics/sensor domain for new product developments of our ultrasound probes working on the integration of mechanics, electronics, control theory, and computer science within product design and manufacturing.

In this role, you will play a key role in designing, investigating, researching, and developing electronic devices (sensors and / or highly integrated electronics on the interdisciplinary interface with mechanics, electronics, control systems /embedded systems) fit for complex medical devices and systems and deliver concepts and devices for future products with our customers and patients in mind. As a people-centric professional with excellent communication skills, you will establish sustainable relationships and successful cooperation with internal and external stakeholders. Electronics/Mechatronics Systems Engineer – Tracking Solutions (all genders) - Ultrasound Probes Engineering

Part time / job sharing may be possible

Your Contribution

As Electronics/Mechatronics Systems Engineer – Tracking Solutions, you will:

  • Collaborate with diverse teams to define objectives and design specifications for innovative electronic devices.

  • Coordinate and manage your work packages, working with horizontal teams in the Ultrasound Probes organization, as well as partners in research and industry to create value through iterations (build, measure, learn cycles).

  • Prototype and fabricate electronic devices and electromechanical systems with partners with precision and quality in mind.

  • Conduct thorough testing and characterization of fabricated devices, refining designs based on experimental outcomes, measurements, and simulation.

  • Write and contribute to technical documentation, reports, research papers, and patent applications.

  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in electronics research.

  • Foster a culture of learning and innovation by mentoring and collaborating with fellow engineers.

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A degree (Master's or similar) or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field with a focus on electronics research and development and/or mechatronics development.

  • Sound background in integration of mechanics, electronics, control systems, and/or computer science within product design and manufacturing.

  • Familiarity with electronics measurement and analysis techniques and equipment.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Good command of English (spoken and written) and the ability to thrive in an international environment.

  • The ability to enjoy complex research projects with complex interfaces and dare to question the status quo respectfully to develop new technology.

  • Preferred - proficiency in electronic simulation tools, electronics CAD software, and understanding of electronic manufacturing processes.

  • Preferred - proficiency in CAD tools and designing electro-mechanical systems.
