Shire Market Access Lead - Immunology in Zug, Switzerland

Deliver Market Access strategy and deliverables to ensure successful pricing negotiations and reimbursement in countries. Represent Market Access at cross-functional team meetings. Become single point of contact to Local Operating Companies (LOCs) for all Market Access strategic challenges, in collaboration with Regions. Provide early input into clinical development programs for pipeline products to ensure the right evidence is collected to support reimbursement and pricing negotiations.

Develop Market Access Plan and implement Access deliverables to achieve successful reimbursement and pricing negotiation for Shire products.

Contribute as a member of the Early Product Teams (ELT) and Launch Product Teams (LPT) with Market Access excellence to ensure appropriate outcomes and evidence generation incorporated in clinical development programs.

In collaboration with Regions and LOCs, identify future trends in Market Access and integrate them into product strategy to maximize reimbursement and pricing potential.

Proactively address product/s related payer, HTA and policymaker demands and respond to emerging or unforeseen market opportunities/challenges.

Explore and develop innovative tools to support local teams in pricing and reimbursement negotiations.

Provide Market Access leadership and guidance across products in the lifecycle.

Lead the Market Access sub-team and interactions with country Market Access teams to ensure input is incorporated into the product Market Access Plan.

Support LOCs and Regions in addressing local Market Access challenges in alignment with the Market Access Plan.

Work with the Global Health Economics and the Outcomes Research & Epidemiology teams to ensure appropriate supportive evidence is available for product reimbursement and pricing negotiations.

Ensure alignment of Market Access Plan with product Brand Plan and Long Range Portfolio strategy.

Represent the Market Access function and product Market Access Plan at Market Access and Commercial meetings.

Take a key role in interactions with external stakeholders to advocate the value of Shire products.

Lead organizational initiatives to enhance the understanding of Market Access with key internal stakeholders.

Key Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:

University degree required with advanced degree in related field (e.g., MBA, MSc, MPH, MPA, PharmD)

10 or more years of market access experience with solid track record in developing Global Market Access strategies covering pricing, reimbursement and access

Local experience influencing and leading access and pricing negotiations in relevant geographic markets.

Excellence in cross-functional collaboration at Global, Regional and Local level.

Deep understanding of pricing and reimbursement processes and key stakeholders across key geographies.

Demonstrated ability to present and justify product market access strategy addressing the needs of multiple stakeholders.

Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and influencing skills across internal and external stakeholders.

Strong project management skills and ability to deliver on time.

Collaborative spirit, able to build consensus, work effectively with cross-functional teams and lead in a matrix structure.

Ability to act decisively and exercise sound judgment in making decisions with limited information.

Ability to make clear business arguments and strategic recommendations leveraging both quantitative and qualitative evidence.

Strong understanding of pharmacoeconomics and epidemiology
